GateWay Church is currently lead by a team of four who have a variety of complementary gifts. The leadership are ably supported by a number of others in the church and by the church trustees.
The team leader is Adrian Todd who has over 25 years of church leadership experience. Adrian is very committed to seeing the leaders of various churches in Leyton working and praying together. As well as leading the church he is a full time science and maths teacher in a local school. He is married to Barbara, who leads the worship team, and lectures in education at a local university. They have two grown-up children.
Amarh & Ruth look after the pastoral side of the church. They have many years counselling experience. Ruth works as a practice nurse at a local GP’s surgery. Ruth & Amarh have three daughters.
Sam is the latest addition to the leadership team. He has been involved in missions and taught in a theology college in his native India. He now works in the social services and brings an added, and younger, dimension to the team.
Ian is our church treasurer and administrator. He is also one of the trustees, a great support to the team and is actively involved in practical care. He is very involved in the local churches night shelter project. Before taking early retirement Ian worked for the BBC.
